The Story
Cape Breton, not the easiest place to grow grapes, but on the south side of this old stone house—built from river rocks —these grapevines have thrived for decades.
40 years ago, Francine planted these vines when she and her family moved here. Since then, they’ve crept up the house, inch by inch, year by year.
Down by the river’s edge, elderberries grow wild, while apple trees lean in. Around here, everyone’s eager to show you their favourite swim spot
The Making
Fermented for 5 months, then aged on grape skins and elderberry for another 2 before bottling. Pet-Nat. Unfiltered. Zero added sulfites.
13 Cases produced. Season 2023.
